Nice light and a subtle view of what (if you live in the area) is a very over photographed rock. I like the foliage frame a lot.

Thanks to all of you for commenting.

My rationale for including so much of the forest was to preserve the "glimpses from the trail" feeling, but upon reflection those of you who suggested a crop may be right. So here is a second version for you to compare and consider.

Love the crop. Really nice image!
I imagine this isn't how it's typically photographed so kudos for finding a different shot of a popular subject!

I don't agree. I think the crop from the left is acceptable, but I don't like the result of cropping off the bottom. I find it draws my eyes to the blurred curved branches, which now emerge from the bottom of the frame; and I don't see that it adds anything at all to the image.
