Photoshop CS6 stand alone. I duplicate a layer and press the J key and + for replace. Click alt for the source and try and move the source to a region of the layer I want to clone but instead the layer gets dragged. Any ideas?

Problem solved. I had Show Overlay in Clone source ticked. Un ticking restored normality.
