Another one for Peter?

Is it hand of man or lightning? Or insects, if you get the type in your neck of the woods? Questions, questions...

However, it is surely a beauty.

"Is it hand of man or lightning? Or insects,"

No tree or being stands many steps from the sea on this Njord kissed isle. Yet wiser men avoid the cave of Aeolus. We are left the sign when wanderers go poking about within releasing the silken cords~

The red and green divide the inside from the out, then fade away.

Black or White is up or down.

They are joined together and  shine in shades of gray.

I like the subject, but the values in the foreground and the background are too similar. In other words, the light is flat. The way the limbs radiate from the trunk is interesting--maybe something to accentuate with a strobe?

See the B&W version in another thread. For me, that's the answer.

Another thread? My previous posting was in response to a black & white.  I liked it very much.  Perhaps I should not have compared it to the color.
