Yeah, my relatives from the north-eastern part of Italy were often given to making references to the 'partigiani'... Some of you Americans, sitting there at home in relative peace before your computers just have no fucking idea what it can be like in another person's 'real world'. Most of those who did are no more, either MIA, shipped home in body bags or just too screwed up now to be able to handle what they saw, if age hasn't released them already. Lets' hope it never touches you, and if it does, that's it's just your own, domestic, internecine affair.
Long ago? Not really; still within my lifetime.
