The release notes claim that this new version of Eye-One Match runs on Intel Macs. Yeah! At last!  

However, the release notes caution: "This release of Eye-One Match is currently not able to create correct large ICC4 monitor profiles on the new IntelMacs. It is recommended to create only default monitor profiles on the IntelMacs until a new version of Eye-One Match will be released." Groan!

Indeed it does work on a MacBook Pro and generated a good profile. I had the best result calibrating the display as a regular LCD, not as a notebook display. Monitor Validator gave an average delta E of 2.21. The result is noticeably better than the stock Apple profile.
