This one does not do much for me. Perhaps if the largest foreground element, on the left, was the one on focus? Instead of the smaller one in the middle? Not sure.

The emphasis on the smaller two (light and focus) give the image the feel of a family portrait, in which the parents' primary interest is in the two youngsters.

Hello Paulo~
As is discussed and contemplated elsewhere in the corners of Lula, the seer, both the original contemplative and the later viewer are hopefully free enough to allow senses accumulated to move, tickle and perhaps tease out something of our common stories, some decades longer than others, but no matter...for me it is the willingness to accept the deeper awareness of the slurry of how I have come to this place, this eye, this exploration of self.

The Coprinus in particular, appear seemingly out of nowhere. They seem to take great pleasure in not only appearing, but maturing and dissolving into liquid, destroying themselves right before your eyes. While I did take the cursory document initially, the entire extended family appeared, all their ranks lined up demanding I not crush their family reunion. When the sense of intrusion hit me, the move to the f/2, f/3, f/4 quarters was intentional. It became street of a family gathering.

Eric, as you intuited, they did generously allow a discreet family portrait, but warned that if I blew it, they'd be gone, as indeed they are,
vanished in this mornings rain.

Lumine!

I was wondering about that.
I am wary of trusting my own judgment of such questions, largely because many years ago my wife and I went on an impromptu mushroom walk in woods in northern Maine with a couple of friends, who were at that time head and former head of the Boston Mycology Club. This was the first time I ever encountered Chantarelles, which they found, harvested, and cooked for us for dinner. Superb!

But there were several times on the walk when our two experts argued about the identity of one or another fungus. That's what made me cautious.

I'm pretty sure I have seen Coprinus, but didn't know the name.

Quote Eric: "several times on the walk when our two experts argued about the identity of one or another fungus."

Thus, the cherished Abooshag, a three legged cat in the employ of a German Bauhaus architect for whom I drafted in the mid sixties. On his mountaintop we would first milk the goats, then off to foraging, final decisions executed by Abooshag when there was identity question. Those slept the night in a separate basket having fed bits to the cat. If bright eyed and bushy tailed the next morning, we had new gatherings to enjoy for the evening plating.

And that reminds me of a tale my mother told about her childhood. She was the third of six siblings, and once one of her brothers picked some field mushrooms and brought them home, cooked them and served them to the family. Some of the children were quite skeptical, and the next morning the youngest wanted to know: "Are we in heaven?"
