Epson P9000 maintenance for one month absence

I'm going to be away for a month and don't want my P9000 to dry up and get all clogged. Has anyone tried the build in feature of the printer to deal with this ? Does it just run a head clean cycle every number of days or does it make a print and only cleans the heads when a clog is detected ?
