I'm planning a backpacking/photo trip to Isle Royale, Michigan August 20-27th. Although born and raised in Michigan, I've never been and I'm wondering if anyone can give me advice about the best trails/locations to photograph landscape.

I believe that Alain Briot mentions having lived/worked this area in his Being an Artist in Business
article on this web site.

I also live in the UP and will be there that weekend and picked up the following book based on recommendations of several people.

Isle Royale National Park: Foot Trails & Water Routes by Jim Dufresne

It gives all the trails and what to expect.

Thank you. I'll try to locate it. We're meandering our way through the northern and northwest counties of the U.P. concentrating on photographing waterfalls, but Isle Royale has been a dream of mine for years and I'm very excited! Hope to see fellow photographers there.
