Suggestions on inexpensive monitor $500 or less
« on: October 04, 2016, 02:21:55 pm »

I am looking for an affordable monitor for photo editing. Unfortunately, $500 is about my limit on spending. Any suggestions on which models I should look at?

Check the best review sites:
http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews.htm
http://www.prad.de/new/monitore/testberichte.html

Standard gamut:
-Dell U2515H 8-bit panel 2560x1440 $349.60
-Dell P2415Q 10-bit(8-bit+FRC) 3840x2160 $379.99
(GPU must have DisplayPort for 4k in 60Hz)

Wide gamut:
-Dell UP2516D 10-bit(8-bit+FRC) 2560x1440 $349.99
Must use an i1Display Pro to proper calibrate.

If are going to use HDMI make sure to proper configure driver/monitor.
