IQ160's price will go down when Fuji and Hasselblad, or whoever, introduces 54x40 sensor size into their mirrorless affordable systems. Also, when Phase One decides to lower IQ1 100MP's price, because it is still too expensive.
I paid IQ160 around 20000$ about five, six years ago. It was a "game changer" in my workflow and in my photography style, look etc(going from FF to true MF). And it was worth every penny. Now, they ask for about the same amount of money to upgrade from 60MP to 100MP of the same sensor size. It wouldn't be a game changer for me, so I won't upgrade.
I don't think IQ160 is crazy expensive. It is still one of the few 54x40 MF sensors on the market.
