The last I saw of him, he was swimming.  In fact, I don't think I saw him on the board at any point. It's a moot point.

Another great grab, Seamus. I especially like the composition, and as has been made abundantly clear by the comments, the ambiguity is wonderful, Peter to the contrary notwithstanding. (Actually it IS street)

No I didn't. A lot of people ignore that sign even though the beach is one of the most dangerous in the country and has taken lives over the years. It's a favourite for surfers who come from everywhere for the consistently high waves.

My Irish colleagues were particularly amused by the idea of Nice trying to ban women from swimming in wrist-to-ankle full coverage black...
