panoramas will bnot put next to source images
« on: September 21, 2016, 01:22:35 pm »

Hello,

another problem with Lightroom 2015.7 running on Windows 10 pro :

When I right click on a stack with images and have Lr create a HDR, it will place the resulting hdr image directly next to the stack of source images. But, when doing the same with the panorama function, the resulting image woll appear at the end of all images and not like the hdr next to the stack.

Is there any setting for having the resulting panorama image placed directly next to the stack of source-images ?

Many thanks for further answers !

Robert

I haven't tried 2015.7 yet but with previous versions it was perhaps 50/50 whether they ended up at the end  of the files or next to those selected.  Also Win 10

It's just a matter of checking the sort order for the folder/collection. If new files appear at the end, that's because you've probably sorted that folder/collection by edit date. Just sort it by filename or capture time, or whatever makes sense.

How have you set your sort? Your A>Z?

If you are by "Capture Time" or by "File Name" and in A>Z, the image should be the second image in the set chosen for the panorama. On the test I just ran it is behaving normally.  Other Sort Options (e.g. Edit Time, Edit Count) will give vastly different results.

Hello,

my grid is set to 'order by added'.

But, with hdr it works great - which means the hdr is sorted next to the stack of images which were used for the hdr, but not with panorama.

If sorted by capture time which for pianos is the obvious choice using pano merge from LR it won't put with original why because Adobe decided it's not needed!
