Photoshop RAW
« on: September 18, 2016, 12:07:20 am »

I wanted to create a multi-exposure image by opening several RAW files as layers in Photoshop. After finishing the edits/merge, I wanted to save the result as a RAW file and then open with Lightroom, make a few non-destructive edits and export to jpg before uploading to the web.

I noticed the file 'save as' option "Photoshop RAW" and have it a try. This file wouldn't open in Lightroom. Why didn't this work?

Because you can't save out a raw file (as in camera raw) from Photoshop. The only way to do what you want to do is use Camera Raw to create the HDR or pano and then import the resulting DNG file into Lightroom...

That makes sense, thanks. The image isn't a pano or HDR, it is a more abstract image with masks, etc. I saved the result as a tif before opening in Lightroom.
