Focussing lens adapter for a7r2
« on: September 17, 2016, 03:25:06 pm »

Hi!

Does anybody here have this adapter:

http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Olympus-OM-lens-to-Sony-E-mount-adapter-Macro-Focusing-Helicoid-NEX-6-A7-A6000-/182124520406?hash=item2a6777a3d6:g:1ZMAAOSwPv9XMFAv

or another one of the same kind (brand) if with different mounts, and would be willing to measure (in mm) the amount of extension per 1 turn of the focusing helicoid?

Also: I assume that the front does NOT turn when operating the focus - but one never knows...

The vendor has not responded to my inquiry.

Background:
I have acquired 2 Apo Lanthars, 125 and 180. They are declared macro lenses, and I find the pitch of the focusing helicoid to steep for my purpose, which is landscape photos, often with focus stacking.

If anybody knows of another solution to combine the (OM)lens-to-A7r2-Adapter with a helicoid with *shallow* pitch, I'm all ears. I have looked at the Borg

http://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/language/en/info/p4592_Borg-Helical-focuser-M57---short-and-non-rotating.html

But the price of 295,- is a "bit" steep, and I can not see how to adapt it to the camera and lens.

Thank you for your information! - Hening.

Update:

In the meantime, I have learned that no-name helicoid adapters like the one mentioned have a bad record, and I am now trying to achieve a universal helicoid, which via adapters can be used on different lenses and different camera bodies, something along this line:

I still need to find out about the pitch of the Yeenon helicoid, and suitable adapters on the lens side. This one seems to fit on the camera side (E-mount):
