Capture One Webinars - Sound Volume Issues
« on: September 16, 2016, 02:29:53 pm »

I have tried raising a Support Case on Phase One but the system will not let me without populating some irrelevant mandatory fields, like camera, software etc.

Also, I know David Grover stops by here  and as he is the webinar host I am hoping he can pick up this message.

Watching the webinars on playback, not live

Recently I have found the sound quality, in terms of volume, has deteriorated gradually to the point today where the sound volume on the latest webinar about Optimising Wacom is so low it is practically impossible to hear / follow and in fact drops out altogether from time to time.

Other videos on the Phase One website relating to Camera Systems and Guest photographers the sound is still OK, just the webinars having the issue.

For the record I am using Apple's  OS X  El Capitan v 10.11.6

Any ideas how I can rectify this ?

Thanks in anticipation  :)

Hmm, I attend most of David's and Drew's webinars and the volume has never been a problem with the exception of one time when the webinar had to be abandoned due to a Citrix issue.

I watched the same webinar on an iMac with OS X El Capitan. Had no issues.

Possibly on your end, as I've never had a sound problem on any of the webinars and I've attended 90% of them.  In particular, the Wacom webinar had no problems.

Thanks for the feedback  :)

Does appear that the issue is mine  :(

But I am still unsure why with the other videos / tutorials on Phase One's website the sound is OK

Hey Jeff,

So its just the Wacom one?

Can you pin point where it drops off to you?

Hi David,

No, it is not just the Wacom Webinar.

The issue appears to have started with the one after  My Capture One with Baber Afzal.

In fact in Portraiture, Workflow & Retouching you mention the loss of sound at around 20 minutes, it then comes back but at around 45 minutes the sound is again almost gone.

Generally your introduction is OK but after that the sound volume fluctuates from OK but not as good as  before to almost impossible to hear.
