ImagePrintv6 Installer?
« on: June 25, 2006, 03:44:13 pm »

At last my new ImagePrintv6 for PC Edition Windows arrived and I eagerly inserted the CD into the drive.  No information screen appeared, no installer program appeared.  A search of the CD revealed a MacOS InstallerWrapper and under another file named Rescources an InagPrint60Installer.  Unfortunately clicking on this file does not activate an install program but rather "Choose the program you want to use to open this file" dialog box.  I have contacted Colorbyte via email but no response yet.  Does anyone have any experience with this kind of issue?  Thanks.

ImagePrintv6 Installer?

I have IP6 for the Epson 2200, and the installer program is a zip-file (mine was called "ImagePrint 6.0 Installer for Windows - build 1.0.0.4.zip" which is quite a mouthful.) In a subdirectory (this was probably created when unzipping the installer) there is a file called "Install.exe" which probably does the actual install. There is also a file called IPSetup.exe that may be the one you want.

If you don't find anything like these on your CD, it sounds to me as if they may have sent you the Mac version instead of the Windows one.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Eric.  As it turns out the Cd and Case are labled PC Windows Edition but the installer file was only for Mac.  It must have been a Friday at the manufacturing site.

From what I understand, at Colorbyte they build profiles Monday thru Thursday and all programming is done on a Friday.
