Viewing RAWs on ext drive connected to Android tablet?
« on: September 03, 2016, 12:19:58 am »

A WiFi-enabled external drive with an SD card slot provides an excellent field backup, but no way of viewing the images.

Is it possible to use an Android (Samusung) tablet to view the NEFs (or thumbnails) stored on such a drive? Either by WiFi or by USB?

Peter, I use one of these as an emergency backup and viewer for location- except I use an Asus Vivo Tab 8 with it. Came from Best Buy on sale for about $80 and best of all, it has a real Windows 8 OS. I just use an OTG adaptor between the drive and the tablet and it all works fine.
