One annoyance with this tool is that it uses an embedded Microsoft Access database which can be problematic if you also have Microsoft Office software installed on your Windows machine. I'm running Windows 10 64-bit, but I have MS Office running in 32-bit (this is typical for the vast majority of people using MS Office).
When you download software from the Epson web site, the default (determined by the web page) is to take the version which matches your OS bitness (64 or 32). So in my case, the 64-bit version of the LFP Accounting Tool was downloaded, and when I tried to install it I got this nice message: "A 32-bit version of Access is already installed on this system; installation cancelled."
The basic problem is that MS does not allow you to install a 64-bit version of an Access database on a machine that is already running a 32-bit Access database, even though the OS is 64-bit. It's a MS "bug" in the minds of many developers, but MS claims there are good reasons for this. In any case, it is a pretty well-known MS issue and it seems the Epson developers somehow weren't aware of it or didn't care enough to at least document the possible conflict. In addition to this problem, Epson's use of an embedded Access database is also probably why it is not available on the Mac.
What to do (for Windows users)? Just download the 32-bit version of the LFP Accounting Tool...it installs and runs on Windows 10 64-bit just fine. All you have to do is select "32-bit Windows 10" for the OS on the Epson download page and you will get the 32-bit version of the tool.
@JRSmit: The tool works fine with network connected printers. You probably saw a pop-up window regarding USB printers when you first launched the tool...just close that window and the tool will find your network printer.
