I just want to share my experience with the Macbook retina 12".
I works really great with 24mp files in the catalog. no much difference in the latest macbook pro if you render 1:1 previews before.
However that usb-c to usb adapter doesn not seem to be stable. I have the combi version with hdmi and charging(usb-c) option, which seems quite essential to me to be able to charge a computer.
Already the display will go on and off sometimes.
Then when the camera is attached tethered, camera shows always as attached but sometimes not transfering images, some times stop working at all, even the cam still shows in the tether bar.
I don't know if the usb to usb-c only adapter would be better.
This is very frustrating, its a brand new adapter, brand new macbook.
Already thunderbolt and ethernet adapter did make problems. Apple really is earning to much money with stupid consumers does not care about quality for higher en application. However I tested windows and that is much worse on many levels.
If anybody has a fix for this I would be very happy. It would be a perfect companion for shooting tethered in the field. Enough power, nice display, super light.
