In addition to many features, the question that remains is:
It's really perceptival print quality when compared to 6400/8400 and 9400 line?
I've an 8300 and the B&W mode is definitely more neutral under artificial lighting (unadjusted)
Colour prints - just as with the PRO-1000 I could see differences of some papers because of the CO coat.
I'd also suggest that the new printers have a cleaner output on some strong colour gradients, but that I had to put 'real world' photos next to each other and look carefully to see.
Does it make me think that my 8300 is no longer an excellent printer - no.
I don't print enough to be able to justify the expense of a replacement, until/if the 8300 has a major problem.
I'd question the wisdom of anyone junking a perfectly good working x300/x400 printer for an update, unless things like the dual roll and print speed or some other design factor was key to their business.
