Stain removal from a scanned Kodachrome
« on: June 16, 2006, 02:14:06 pm »

Hi Folks,
I hope this is not an inappropriate type of post in this forum.
I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions as to the most effective CS2 techique to use to minimize or remove the 'stains' as shown in the attached image file?. The 'stains' are on an original Kodachrome slide and appear in numerous areas, generally in areas of smooth tone.
I've tried several CS2 approaches (with mixed results) to minimize or remove the 'stains'
Any help or feedback would be appreciated
Regards

This looks like fungus and if they're in areas of smooth tone I'd try using the clone tool or healing brush with a soft brush.
