Problem with executing Action and Batch Processing CS6...?
« on: July 29, 2016, 06:42:53 am »

I want to convert a large folder of TIFFs from ProPhoto to Adobe RGB.

I created an Action as follows:

1. Create New Set (named it)
2. Create New Action within the new Set. (named it; Function Key/None; Colour/None)
3. Clicked Record...
4. Opened Image
5. Edit > Convert to Profile
6. Selected Adobe RGB/Relative Colorimetric/Black Point
7. Clicked OK
8. File > Save As > Saved to another folder.
9. Clicked Stop Recording.

Now, in order to test the Action, I have created a sub-folder, within the large folder, of 5 TIFF images.

I then created a destination folder elsewhere.

Here's my problem........

When I choose File/Automate/Batch, and point Source and Destination at these two folders, the following happens - it opens each of the 5 images in turn, BUT it makes five conversions of the first of the other TIFFs in the main folder, placing one of them in the Destination folder and leaving ALL 5 open on the screen.

What am I doing wrong?

Many thanks.

Sorted....

This describes the process in baby steps.

1000+ files converting to Adobe RGB as I type.  ;)
