Northumberland Coast
« on: July 24, 2016, 07:51:51 pm »

A couple from the Northumberland Coast.
The first is a stitch from 7 images.
The second I thought about black and white - but preferred the blue sky (it feels like a rarity to see it  ;) )

The first needs to be big because the castle is distant.

I like the 2nd very much.

Agree the pano does look a lot better printed 17x60 than on a small screen. (Although I had to go out for the print as my trusty 3800 will only print up to 37.4" length).

I like the lines and shapes in #2. If this were mine I might emphasize them by cropping out some sky.

It's nice to see some familiar landmarks on here and with blue skies too :)

My favourite spot up there is the stretch of coast south between Craster and the bathing house and the dunes south of Beadnell.

Thanks all for the feedback.

Scott - good point on the crop - I'll give it a try

philaitman - it is a beautiful stretch of coastline - particularly if you catch it on a good day   :) .
