Epson Artisan 1430?

Does anyone think that the Artisan 1430 is worth it as a work printer, and for maybe small runs.. I know its dye based (hence the hesitation). At the moment I have access to two smaller pigment Epsons, and will soon enter a grad program that has two larger pigment Epson machines. So what is the state of dye inks now, and would it be worth it as a personal machine?
