I very much like the design/composition of the photo with the swell of the cattle on the right mirroring the curve of the hill. It certainly works well in B&W.
Consider working to remove the halo where sky meets foliage all across the image, no doubt a processing artifact from reducing the tonal values of the sky. The sky does have some good texture that adds to the image, but could stand to be a little brighter and without the halos.
