After three attempts including a second install of v6.4.14 I called Eizo tech support. It took about 40 minutes but we eventually solved the problem. This involved deleting all existing Eizo files in Library and then re-installing Color Navigator but the problem did resolve. My ∆E numbers were very low which surprised both the tech and myself as the display has nearly 5000 hours on it.
