Hi Paul2660,

In the cyan fabric it is drastic(need wide gamut monitor to see)...  :o

The RAW I mentioned before was a Pentax(pixel shift) converted with ACR, not Piccure+.
An old Canon EOS-1D X RAW that any software can easy convert http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/canon-1dx/E1DXhSLI000050NR0.CR2.HTM

Hi Pictus,

I have the Atkinson test image, and will try it out tomorrow to see.

Paul C

Thanks, Paul. (I was the one who asked if you could do it, but I'm sure Pictus is interested too.)

Well after further testing on a variety of images, I am satisfied that what I wrote above (in the post that includes Bill Atkinson's Test Page) is essentially correct. After running an image that's in a wide color space (e.g., prophoto or Adobe RGB) through piccure+ version 3, any colors that are outside of sRGB will be clipped. This phenomenon is easily visible on a wide gamut monitor. If you work only with a standard gamut monitor, you won't see the changes because those colors aren't displayed on your monitor to begin with. They might have been printed by your printer, but after processing with piccure+ v.3, they won't be because they have been replaced by colors that are within sRGB. On the positive side, if you don't mind this behavior, piccure+ does a good job of sharpening most images.

Just an update that Piccure+ is now at version 3.1.0.0.  I don't know if it solves any of the issues mentioned above, but thought I would mention it for the appreciated evaluators.

The two images on this page are identical on my aRGB monitor. Also Piccure + is in ver 3.1.0.0. Despite being set to auto update this app does not. I had to go to the site and download the trial to update from 3.0.0.8.

Maybe the browser is not handling the color management well, load it into Photoshop.
