Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone here has experience of the new HD version of Pentax's 35mm lens for 645, versus earlier versions? I have two copies of the original manual focus version - one is terrible and the other is very sharp, but they both exhibit
the same complex distortion and I haven't been able to correct it satisfactorily. I'm wondering if the new model has a different optical formula, and potentially less distortion, or if just has updated coating etc. Or indeed if the 'middle' AF version is
any better in this regard. The reviews of the MF version generally seem to conclude that it has minimal distortion, but my experience has been the opposite. I'm using it with a Cambo Actus by the way, and possibly soon a 645z.

I haven't found a rental house that carries this lens near me, otherwise I would test it that way.

Thanks
Matthew
