Nice, Bill; and with a bit of blue sky in each one, too! Must be summer.

Didn't see a merlin, but I did see ravens, a sparrowhawk, stonechats, and skylarks.

And yes, blue sky, though I wasn't expecting it.

Where's Merlin ?

For those who, like me, grew up in Soviet Union, Dartmoor is forever associated with The Hound of the Baskervilles :)

Me too (but U.S.A., not the Soviet Union).

These lovely scenes don't fit at all my mental image of Dartmoor as creepy, frightening, and, above all, completely Black and White, no color.

That bridge is quite delightful.

Yes to SACD! Yes to Dartmoor and its hound, wherever it may be. PS: Totally enchanting pictures.

Good shooting, Bill. #2 looks like a Turner.

That bridge is quite delightful.

And it echoes the landscape and sky. Well-seen.

#2 and #3 especially nice. The bleakness makes the images.

This one adds a nice set of stones, providing hiding places for the Hound, who doesn't like to be photographed.

Very thoughtful of the folks who placed those stones there.   ;)

A boulder stream is a testament to the harshness and difficulty of the land.
