I hope this is an appropriate post.
The Plein Air Brandywine Valley competition is accepting applications for its week-long October 2016 event. It is open to both painters and photographers, with equal prizes for each (up to $2,000 for a first place) and an opportunity to sell your work during the exhibition at the Winterthur Museum. The competition benefits the Children's Beach House of Delaware. The charity gets 40% of any sales, but you retain all rights to your work. Only 25 photographers are accepted, so competition is keen.
I've competed in the last two events and it has been a highlight of my year each time (won once, lost once). A major perk is gaining access to private properties and estates up and down the Brandywine Valley of Delaware and Pennsylvania.
