Great shot, but to my taste the local contrast and colour saturation have been boosted wayyyy too much. But if that's the effect you want, go for it :)

An interesting photograph with a lot to say.

For me, it makes me happy never to have found myself in the condition, either of physical instabilty and/or of lack of self-respect, to do what the foreground people appear to be so happy doing. Ye gods.

Pavements and squares are for walking upon, for dogs to use as latrines, for pigeons to seek tourist food, for the convenient disposal of cigarette butts, getting rid of chewing gum beyond its chewabilty and for drunks to use as resting places beyond which it's impossible to find a lower level - unless you start from a bridge, don't bounce, and can utilize the dent.
