Stamper's "Hello There" reminded me of this one.

At first glance, people in the background being larger than those in the foreground create a bit of cognitive dissonance for a split second... then you realize it's just a painted wall. This feeling would have lasted longer if all characters were painted as well as the smoking guy and his companion. Stampers's "Hello There" does not have that, because of a different perspective.

This definitely works. There is a nice rhythm and balance between the elements and as per usual nicely processed. :)

Painted as well. I think what your saying is more realistic. The artist, Gary Kelly, that did this campaign used various Artistic stylistic approaches for the various writers that were depicted...

Very much so...Gary has been influenced by Russian constructivism and now a neo-cubist. It was a major campaign for Barnes & Noble store cafes throughout the US.
