ON1 Photo RAW
« on: May 27, 2016, 07:41:54 pm »

ON1 Photo RAW sounds like an exciting new product that will have to pass a number of tests to take much business away from Lightroom.

What are the group's thought on the viability of this new RAW non-destructive processor and adjustment application?

As the application isn't being released until the Fall, it's a bit premature to know what to think about it.

Its DAM features may be a limit. I'm pretty sure it will tag, make albums and smart albums, and handle metadata. Will that be enough?

Ain't that the truth! But speculation is so rampant and so fun for some on the internets  :-*

I bought ON1 Photo which will be upgraded to ON1 RAW when it is released.  Actually I wanted only the "Resize part" but the bundle pricing was extremely attractive, hence the purchase. As I have never used PS or LR (I use Nikon NX-D), I wanted to test various features available, and I find them quite useful. Waiting for ON1 RAW.
