Sunrise Mountain
« on: May 27, 2016, 09:09:52 am »

Sunday morning on Antelope Island came. It arrived liked the clearing storm it was, fresh and energetic, wild and free. I listened as the black bird with the beautiful red wings sang with all its heart, watching the day begin, the clouds and the mountain receive the morning light. The reeds shuttered just a little and so did I as I took it in.. Sunrise Mountain.

Your writing is starting to canibalise your photography ;)

Very nice landscape. I wonder if you need all the green at the bottom. It certainly looks different if you mask it away and to my eye better but I expect you don't agree otherwise you'd have done it!

I think the green complements the orange and is a nice lead in and I like the image.

The green needs to stay it's all in the layers on this image.

Beautiful image.  The song of the redwing blackbird is a wetland constant around here.  When I was in Junior High, we would pack a lunch and a friend's dad would drive us out to a farm pond that belonged to family friends.  We would spend the day fishing and doing whatever Jr. High kids back then did around a farm pond.  I cannot hear the song of the redwing blackbird without being transported decades and miles back there. There is a wetland area near here where I can always depend on hearing their song.

I love the layers and soft colors all the way through the image. Good stuff!
