mini and external hard
« on: May 20, 2016, 08:43:40 am »

Hi, I have problem with my Mini and 2 external hard drives, One Lacie connected with Thunderbolt2 and other WD with USB3: they both disconnected when Mini goes to sleep mood and back again doesn't recognize the drivers. I have to disconnect and connect their cables to make Mini recognize them. It getting really frustrated. I didn't have this problems with PC and Windows 7 ever. I have turned off the "put hard disk on sleep" option but still the same.

What version of Mac OSX are you running?

Under 'Systems Preferences' - 'Energy Saver' - uncheck 'Put hard disks to sleep when possible'

Give this a shot - Reset the SMC  https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

Also do the PRAM - wait for 2 chimes - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063
