Lake Tahoe - best spot for pano?

I'll be at Lake Tahoe the day ahead of a trade show on June 1st.  I'll have about 8 hours to get from Reno to some place at Tahoe for what I would like - a 270 degree panoramic.

Snow may still make the pacific rim trail out of the question.  I can mountain bike to a spot or hike.  Any thoughts on the best place?
