Mono mood
« on: April 17, 2016, 12:46:21 am »

I have been ending up with more monochrome images lately. It seems to suit these stormy spring days when there isn't much color anyway but lots of great tones and forms.

I like the scene and the composition very much. I may have been infected by stamper's love of high contrast, but I do find the processing here just a little flat.

Thanks and I can't disagree that it's a pretty gray image. It was snowing and pretty low contrast and I'm also often partial to the higher contrast images but this time it didn't feel like that fit.

It's a very nice image, Matt. I think it works well at this contrast level.

Indeed, a great composition and I like the processing. As a fan of high contrast myself, I think this kind of grey misty day needs restraint. This is a trait I should learn.

I like the high contrast treatment and the mystery it adds. Well seen!
