HP Z3200PS Ink and Head replacement question

So my trusty HP Z3200PS is still chugging along but was wondering if I should replace the print cartridges of course they are all out of warranty yet the status says ok.
Same with all my ink all out of warranty.
Which brings me to my last question is ok to purchase new in the box sealed ink and print cartridges that are past expiration date? I see a lot of new out of date HP 70 carts that have exp. in 2015.

Any advice?

If your printer is in warranty, then you should keep your inks and printheads current.

If your printer is long out of warranty and you don't plan on getting a service agreement, then it is up to you to determine if using outdated printheads and ink cartridges is acceptable.

If they are not that old, I continue to run them.  I never go past a full year on any of it.

As long as you agitate the inks well and you don't have problems with your printheads, you should be fine.
