Q: Brush angle direction in Photoshop
« on: April 14, 2016, 03:00:12 pm »

Does the brush direction angle indicator in Photoshop do anything, especially with the spot healing brush? When does it makes sense to change the angle?

The brush direction angle makes sense when you use a non-circular brush tip. In the case of the spot healing brush, reduce the "roundness" to get an elliptical tip shape and then adjust the angle to suit your needs as in the attached image.

For standard brushes, it is mosltly used by those who use photoshop to paint. This might be a limited feature for photo processing
