Calm, Peace
« on: April 06, 2016, 01:02:31 pm »

There is a sense among the postings of late, of almost a yearning, an aspiring, to something other- a space- where I would hope that my grandchildren might explore- be inspired by- of peace- of ecstatic calm. Out of the chaos, a place where visions and hope arise. Quite extraordinary really in the current shape of things...

I am grateful for the peace and calm the sense of how you were taking the time to watch, to seek- as you go about the images you share here.

Thank you,
Patricia

This is why I live up here in this funky little town. That peace is much more accessible here than down in the cities!
It's all around us with only a short drive, bike ride, or even walk to find it. I can even pull it to me just using my mind.
It's a renewable resource if correctly managed.  :)

Yes!

That's why I prefer to go shooting during the week.

Definitely not the Sunday, except early in the morning, too much noisy people with dogs, too much motorbike or quad bikes or ATV.

Sometimes I can drive my bicycle for several tens of km seeing nobody, only wild animals.

This calm is necessary for me, to cope with frantic working life.

Have A Nice Day.

Beautifully put, Patricia.

These days I visit LuLa much more for the images than for the techy threads, and the images I find myself lingering over and coming back to again and again are those quiet ones that you describe.

My thanks, too, go to those who show us something deeper than the obvious surfaces.

Photography is excellent for driving me out to quiet places, for making me really look at them, and then celebrate them long afterwards.

I aspire to that peace but I have been feeling rather out of synch with my photography lately.  Unfortunately getting out into quieter places in the infamous Newfoundland spring seems to be facing into the almost constant 60 km plus wind blowing off the North Atlantic and trying to convince myself that I am enjoying it.  :)  All things pass.

And you are  aware of this Chuck, because you are one fortunate to yet count yourself among the living... Celebrate~Celebrate! the ice upon your cheek and breath deeply of the gale ~

(All things pass)  All things open new previously undetected pathways to an "other" . Celebrate! (Until further notice~ Celebrate everything!!!!!!)

As my mother often says, at 104 years old: "I'm glad to be alive!"
