A big "thank you" to those of you here who made suggestions last March about where I should go in Japan.  The trip was excellent; it was interesting to see a culture that was both very modern and very different from Western culture.  If anyone is interested, I've posted some photos from the trip at:

Japan photos

Included are a handful of photos taken with my new IR camera (a custom-converted D70).

Enjoy!

Lisa

P.S.  Comments are welcome.

Hello Lisa,

Thanks for posting a link to your Japan images.

The IR views of Shinjuku Gyouen and Kinkakuji are those I found most interesting.

Congratulations.

Cheers,
Bernard

Nice work Lisa, thanks for sharing.  It would be difficult to pick a 'favourite' shot - probably the IR image of the temple in Tokyo.

Mike.

Lisa, I tried twice over - on the first attempt I got timed-out, and on the second I got a "website unavailable" notice. I'd like to see those photos. Hope it works again soon.

The server my stuff is on sometimes goes down for a little while.  It will be back.  (As of now, it's working.)

Thanks Lisa, I did get in this time, and worthwhile too. Thanks for sharing them. By the way, I think the Big Buddha of Nara was telling you to stop photographing him
