Applying the Zone System With Lightroom
« on: February 25, 2016, 08:01:50 pm »

I have been using Silver Efex Pro to process black and white images. I found that using their zones helped to me to see and better understand exposure and tone during post processing. Lately I have been doing my B&W conversions in Lightroom only. I was wondering if there was a method for identifying the different zones in Lightroom. I'm looking for a way to validate my adjustments. I can bring it in to SEP to check but it's cumbersome.

Thanks,
Michael

Thanks, John.

Actually, this video has been free (meaning..... you don't have to put in your e-mail address...) on YouTube for a couple of years now. So for those of you who wish to view the video and NOT put in your e-mail, here's the direct link:

Comments are, of course... welcome.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge George. Excellent video and so appropriate that you chose the east face of Longs Peak to discuss exposure!
