Sunk hopes
« on: February 25, 2016, 11:09:46 am »

A typical example of the struggle between man and nature for the control of the land and water that has been going on in the Po's Delta for centuries: a "casone", a fishing house built by men and reclaimed by the sea, shot on an extremely windy day and with very choppy sea, but made look extremely still to further enhance the contrast between extremes that is the underlaying theme of this project.

With the Pentax 645z and the 28-45mm f/4.5. Thanks for viewing! Best,

One of my favorite subjects. Nature disrespecting mankind's achievements and reclaiming.

Stunning and eerie. By the way things are going, 100 years from now there will be many opportunities for photos like these, worldwide...

Yes and it's good that Nature has the last word, in the end.

Sacca degli Scardovari, not far from the boats-bridge.  So lovely composition and chromatic rendition, as your usual.
All the best,
