No idea but it could be related to tethered shooting or importing files into Lightroom.

There are several Adobe software services running constantly (6 or more), using memory and CPU cycles, even when no Adobe application is running. This is the usual lack of care, bloated programming, more and  more populating today's machines. Software development is ever more inefficient, and is so justified on ever growing RAM spaces and CPU power. Imagine with today's powerful machines if software was written to be efficient (like it was when computing started in major scale in the '70s and '80s).

Write to Adobe and complain. Tell Adobe that all services should shut down when no applications are running.

They had to be efficient w/ the dead slow processors and lack of memory.

Let me know when you want to try to do or write high-end image processing in ASCII & VGA graphics.

You really want to go back to the Wordstar & Lotus123 days?
