It's ok to disagree, especially on color casts: a lot depends both on personal tastes and the monitor.
And on one's eyesight. Since I'm one of those blest with substandard colour vision, the versions with and without colour cast look exactly the same to me.

That helps me maintain my equanimity when discussions about color casts get too heated.   ;)

Jeremy: I like your "-1." I've been thinking of trying "+/-0" sometime, but I haven't yet found the perfect opportunity.

Certainly. I tone most of my monochrome shots, but I keep it pretty subtle. It's purely a matter of personal taste, though.

I'd assumed as much but I thought I'd let you mention it first.

Thanks! I was pleased with it but I don't imagine it's original.

The second image is a beauty. The third is also compelling.

Thanks Rajan, and Diego, and Arlen, and BobDavid, and anybody else I missed.

And Chuck: Have a great trip. This should be a good time of year for Death Valley. Weather was superb when I was there in January.
