Badlands: The Jaggies
« on: February 13, 2016, 11:54:32 pm »

It's been a while since I posted anything here -- life events having intervened and hijacked my time. Getting back into the swing of things, I thought I would share this fall image from South Dakota's Badlands. Maybe they were thusly named by someone who encountered this section of dry jagged peaks and despaired of ever making it to the other side.

Very nice and the clouds compliment the bad in Badlands.

Nice juxtaposition of textures and colors. I can only imagine what it must be like to hike that area. My ankles hurt already.

Good catch. The clouds and sunlight really work here.

Great contrasts in texture, colours, sky and land from an excellent vantage-point.

I'm back from traveling too my friend. Trying not to dump a bunch of stuff on here, but I'm moving towards marketing a bunch of stuff and want opinions of the guys here as I've always found it helpful and valuable to gain another perspective.  On this one, I don't think I'd change anything. My eye is perfectly drawn into the detail, and my initial reaction is wow, I need to get to that place myself.
