Latest update to Photoshop 2015 CC
« on: February 07, 2016, 12:03:23 pm »

Did anyone notice a total change to Photoshop CC 2015, with the latest update, menus appear different (shading), and now the opening workspace is different albeit you can get back to the normal looking interface quickly.

I thought I was current, but noticed the update notice this morning and allow it.

Just curious if I have been back level for a while?

Thanks

Yes, about 3-4 months ago.

As noted, that update was earlier, not the latest. I think there may have been two since.
Yes, it was annoying to have palletes/workspace reset and the overall greyed out look is a bit silly.

Yes this retrograde "look" arrived during the past couple of weeks.
Why do developers have this endless compulsive need to fiddle with things that work perfectly well?  ???

It's difficult to perceive just about any aspect of the latest GUI changes as being an improvement over the previous version.
Not by much, but it's a just a touch slower to work with due to a reduction of visual clarity and precision.
A minor matter I suppose which will all be forgotten soon enough.

For a company thats essence is 'design', the new look isn't particularly good.

I dont know if they wrote their own widget set so the experience is the same on both platforms or what.

Like the current trend/mania on websites that insist on razor thin fonts done in some light grey on a white background
sacrificing readability.

I updated to CC 2015 on my 2009 MAC using Elcapitain 2 months ago.  This caused serious problems and after several hours on the phone with Adobe, the solution was to revert to CC 2014.

The has been another recent update but I have heard that many other have had problems updating on MACS.  Any others have similar problems?

Is the most recent update for MACs ready for prime time?
