Hasselblad stopping production of 343 scanners
« on: May 03, 2006, 12:12:01 am »

Hasselblad is stopping the production of 343 scanners, so they are giving rebate/discounts of $999. All other  scanners are also marked down. Good time to buy the scanners.

I received an e-mail from Hasselblad stating the fact. This IS the copy of e-mail.

"Hasselblad USA Announces End of Life on Flextight 343 Scanner

Hasselblad is officially announcing the end of life on the Flextight 343 scanner. While the scanner is being discontinued, Hasselblad does have remaining inventory. Once the remaining inventory is sold, the Flextight 343 will no longer be available. Hasselblad will continue to service and support the FT343 scanner after its discontinuation.

There are no plans to introduce a new scanner to replace the FT343. Quantities are limited and orders will be filled on a first-come basis while supplies last.

Hasselblad USA announces scanner bundle promotion

As both a scanner and digital camera/back manufacturer Hasselblad USA has announced a special "Scanner Bundle" promotion. This promotion will allow customers that purchase any 22mp or 39mp digital back or integrated DSLR the ability to purchase a Flextight scanner at a special reduced bundled price. Take advantage of this opportunity to use the best film scanner in the industry to digitize your film archive.

Special bundled scanner pricing is as follows:

FT343: $4000 (savings of $995)
FT646: $7500 (savings of $2,495)
FT848: $11,250 (savings of $3,745)
FT949: $15,000 (savings of $4,995)"
