Head alignement needed? How to tell?
« on: January 25, 2016, 01:58:40 pm »

I have had my 9600 for a good couple of years, maybe more, I got it used.

My question is about head alignement.

Is that something that needs to be done at certain intervals or only when the print's quality show a decline?
What's would be the symptom of a head in need of alignment?

Thanks

Hello Hugo -

The common symptom of head misalignment in my experience is that you see banding across your image.  If you don't see visible banding, you probably don't need to realign.  It's not like color management, in which your settings can creep without you noticing.  Head misalignment is usually pretty noticeable.

Hope that helps.
