I doubt anyone here (except perhaps our British friends) has heard of him. He is the greatest cricket photographer of our time, a worthy successor to George Beldam. He is quite self-effacing in this clip I recently came across.

Yes, a brilliant and innovative cricket photographer.

His test match pictures used to feature in the Sunday Times. I'm trying to remember the exact facts when back in the 70's he captured the ball hitting the stumps for 6(?) Micheal Holding(?) wickets in a West Indies v England test. The Times ran all the pictures side by side. (This was a much harder feat than actually understanding the rules of this game!!)

I remember that series (1976) as a boy listening to BBC's Test Match Special, where Yorkshireman Brian Close was (literally) defending his life in one over from Holding. Now available to view.
